Implementation of a new degree programme

At FAU the establishment of a degree programme (guideline 07 Einrichtung eines Studiengangs und Erstellung einer Prüfungsordung) is divided into two connected process steps.
The preparatory, decentralized and faculty-specific process incorporates the decision-making bodies and responsibilities of the Faculty/department/teaching unit while also integrating an advisory process through the section L1.

The subsequent process on university level includes the drafting of the examination regulations.
A special feature at the Faculty of Sciences is the early integration of students in the preparatory, decentralized and subject-specific development through the Study committee. The student member of the committee gets appointed.
Specific procedure descriptions and chronology are laid down in writing.
