Recognition process

The recognition of qualifications, study and examination achievements is meant to increase flexibility and mobility of students. It aims to simplify a national or international change of higher education institution or type of institution, changing the degree programme or spending a semester abroad.

We recommend you to have a look at Guidline 10 (Anerkennung von Qualifikationen, Studien- und Prüfungsleistungen) which depicts all work steps and names all involved committees and administrative staff. This guideline contributes to the transparency of recognition of qualification, study and examination achievements in Bachelor and Master degree programmes at the Faculty of Sciences.

Regarding the recognition at FAU, there is no distinction between qualifications, study and examination achievements acquired/achieved domestically or internationally.

Application forms for the recognition of qualifications, study and examination achievements can be downloaded as PDF-document (“Antrag-auf-Anerkennung-von-Leistungen NatFak“) or picked up at the “Studien-Service-Center”.
