First semester welcoming events, bridge courses and orientation weeks

The Faculty of Sciences warmly welcomes all students who will begin their studies in the sciences and mathematics at FAU in the winter semester and wishes all students success in their studies.

At the start of their studies, the Faculty offers new students Brückenkurse und Orientierungswochen (preparatory courses and orientation weeks) for their respective subjects. Click on Einführungsveranstaltungen (introductory events) for all information about the introductory and welcome events offered by the departments as well as the student representatives’initiatives. Please note that some introductory events take place during orientation weeks and/or before the start of the lecture period. Courses for the Bachelor’s and Staatsexamens programs are held in German. The courses for the English-language Master’s programs are held in English.
